Like American CCC staff members, all Thai staff members raise financial support to fund their ministries. Her TestimonyMy name is Suwansiri Tammasangwan, everyone calls me Nong, which is my nickname. I am 26 years old. I am now on staff with Thailand Campus Crusade for Christ. It’s going to be my 4th year of serving God with TCCC. I am so excited and believe that it’s such a privilege that God has chosen me to do His work to fulfill the Great Commission in Thailand. So many people have yet to hear the message of love and hope that can only be found in our Lord Jesus Christ. I grew up in a typical Buddhist family in Thailand. I remember myself growing up and taking part in many Buddhist rituals such as saying my prayer to Buddha, and trying to obey His teachings. But somewhere deep in my heart I knew there must be something more to life. Deep in my heart, I longed to know the true meaning and purpose of life. When I entered the university, I met some other students who seemed to be always happy and have a genuine concern for each other. They called themselves CCC. They came to me and invited me to the camp. At the camp, a lady who was a TCCC staff came to talk to me. She explained to me the reason why those students I know have a love and happiness in their lives. She told me that I can experience this, too, through knowing God personally by trusting Christ as my savior and Lord. So that day on the 20th of August 2000, I place my faith in Christ. Since that time I have been growing in my Christian life and sharing eagerly with others so they, too, can find this true joy and meaning in life that I have experienced. And that was a reason why I decided to become a full time staff of TCCC. So that God can use me as a tool to bring the lost students, which are the future of the country to come to know Him. My vision is to see the young people in Thailand rise up for God and reach the world.
P’Nong has been a great blessing to us during our time so far in Thailand. She has an amazing talent and ability in translating from Thai to English- which has served our team tremendously. Jon also worked with P’Nong on the promotions team for CM2007 and was so encouraged by her passion and enthusiasm for reaching her country for Christ!
P'K has been a great encouragement to us during our time spent in Chiang Mai. Jonathan has gotten to work with him on artistic projects- and has been blown away by his talent and creativity! We also joined with him on trips to villages at Christmas time and had a great time getting to know him better. He has an amazing heart for reaching his campus for the Gospel.
